Multiple Input Single Output DC to DC Converter Control Using Kalman Filter for Microgrid Applications

Renewable energy system (RES) based microgrid applications have grown extensively over the recent years. Owing to power fluctuations in RES, acquiring stable and accurate output voltage at DC Bus is a major concern applications. Presently, switching, as well as, prediction of for RES quite slow total harmonic distortion cannot be reduced minimal level. Accordingly, this research developed controller Multiple Input Single Output (MISO) converter Kalman filter. Initially, four seriesconnected PV panels were modelled analysed. A boost was used combine panels' provide single Bus. Perturb Observe, Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm, retrieve optimal from RES. Analysis revealed that waveform contained harmonics had Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) 27.73 %. Thus, filter modeled analysed remove harmonics. The THD value consequently 2.1 %, which within allowable limit prescribed by IEEE, system. could achieved with proposed scheme, further also limits IEEE.
